Remove links:

  1. Find the arrows on the back of the metal band. They show the direction the pins should be pushed out.
  2. Retract the pusher: turn the tool’s knob counter-clockwise so the needle is fully backed away.
  3. Seat the band in the tool’s slot so a link pin lines up with the tool’s needle.
    1. The band’s arrow should point away from the tool’s needle (you’ll push in the arrow’s direction).
  4. Align carefully: the needle must sit squarely on the center of the pin. Misalignment can bend the needle.
  5. Push the pin: turn the knob clockwise slowly. The needle will drive the pin out in the arrow direction.
  6. Once ~2–3 mm of the pin sticks out, stop and pull it out with fingers/tweezers.
  7. Remove the second pin on the other side of the link you’re taking out. Lift the link out.
    1. For best fit, remove links symmetrically from both sides of the clasp.

Reconnect the band

  1. Rejoin the band ends. Insert a pin opposite the arrow direction (i.e., back in the way it came out). Start by hand.
  2. Place the band in the tool again and use the needle to press the pin fully flush (turn knob clockwise gently).
  3. Check fit on your wrist. If still loose/tight, repeat removing/adding a link as needed.
  4. When done, make sure all pins are fully seated and flush.

Notes & Tips

  1. Don’t force it. If it’s hard to turn, re-check alignment—you may be on the link, not the pin.
  2. To keep the clasp centered, remove the same number of links from each side.
