My ears became infected previously when I wore stainless steel earrings, and I had hoped these ones from Nominal would be fine because it explicitly says the steel is hypoallergenic. I suppose my skin just doesn’t do well with steel, because my ears got swollen and started bleeding when I wore these earrings for more than a few hours in hot weather :-( My ears were pierced and healed 7 years ago but now they are closing up after this infection.

I bought the 40 mm hoops and was surprised with how big they were and heavy they felt in my ears. Definitely dissapointed :( wish I could return for the 25 mm size hoops!

Absolutely. We only use real gold plating on all of our gold pieces. Underneath, we use pure stainless steel so that you can wear this piece around water and sweat and never worry about any fading or tarnishing.
Our Rose Gold pieces have the same pure stainless steel base, and are coated with real gold, but blended with copper to achieve its gorgeous rose-colored hue.
Our Silver pieces are also made from pure stainless steel, and simply polished for that beautiful lifelong shine.
Men's pieces are all made with pure stainless steel for the same waterproof & sweatproof promise.

By default, our women's chains are made with a 16" chain with a built-in 6" extender for a total of 22 inches. This excludes chokers & custom pieces.
Men's necklaces are typically made on a 23" chain.
