Why Nominal?

Growing up, I dreamed of creating a global brand that could be used as a platform to raise awareness & donations towards causes that don’t get the attention they deserve. I dreamed of a platform that through our actions, could be used to inspire others to also chase their dreams, do what it is that makes them truly happy, and make a difference in this world. I’ve always loved fashion, and have always surrounded myself with positive affirmations. To be able to combine all that into a purposeful brand, is a dream come true.

What brings you to work everyday?

We are a team of passionate visionaries that have one goal- to change the world. With a mission-based goal like that, coming to work is easy. I also want to make it clear that anyone that says they have the best team is simply a liar. We do :).

Who inspires you?

The resilience and selflessness of my parents inspires me. In their young 20s, they made the very difficult, brave, and unpopular decision of leaving their loved ones in Syria and move to the United States. The thought of leaving your family, friends, and everything and everybody you know, to go across the world and start fresh, blows me away. They didn’t know where they were going to live. They didn’t know English. They didn’t have a support system. They didn’t have a GPS. The didn’t even have internet. But they were so hungry for the opportunity to provide their children with a better life than theirs.
